A Marquis Name in Footwear Gets a Reboot

Reyers Coming to Eastwood Mall

When it comes to shoe shopping, who in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania hasn’t heard of the name Reyers?  After 135 years, this venerable and wildly popular shoe store is moving a few miles from Sharon, Pennsylvania to the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio.  Its enormous selection of shoes for men and women will overflow in a nearly 14,000 square foot store space in the JCPenney Concourse.  A Grand Opening is tentatively planned for some time in the summer of 2021.  It is part of Reyers’ strategy to grow its brand and more effectively serve loyal customers throughout the region.  We invite our friends and neighbors from western Pennsylvania to visit as we welcome Reyers, which has been a marquis name in the valley for over a century.  We are committed to supporting family owned businesses.  As always, we hope to bring the best of the best to Eastwood Mall.

The store’s rich history will be on display for customers to enjoy.  Reyers was originally founded in 1886 by German immigrant John Reyer, a cobbler. John later handed down the little shop to his son Carl and in the early 1950's he sold the store to the Jubelirer family from Pittsburgh. Harry Jubelirer, his sons, and dedicated staff built the little shoe store into what it is today. Over the years, Reyers has been featured in Time magazine, USA Today, and The David Letterman Show. Sons Mark and Steve Jubelirer continue to run the store today. 

 Reyers has been named one of the best shoe stores in the world.  It features a vast selection of women’s and men’s footwear for formal, work, leisure, athletic and specialized outdoor needs.  Reyers’ customer service is legendary.  The sales staff wins national service awards all the time. Reyers specializes in sizes that other stores just don’t carry.  It also offers a fabulous collection of accessories of jewelry and handbags.
