NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Hundreds of shoppers lined up Saturday night and Friday morning outside of the Eastwood Mall to take advantage of Black Friday deals.
Some shoppers at the Eastwood Mall had been out all night waiting for the doors to open — staying bundled to ward off the cold.
Jason Shields was the first person in line this year. He was first in line last year as well. He arrived at 6:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving to wait in line.
Shields talked about what was on his shopping list.
“I’m looking for a couple of gifts for my 9-year-old daughter, like a Nintendo Switch, a couple of clothes, a gift for my girlfriend,” he said.
Shields was hoping to be the lucky person who received a $500 gift card. The first 500 people inside the store received bags of goodies, while the first 300 people will have a gift card inside their bags.
