Dressing up – Macy’s-style

Macy’s donates new dresses to charity

Nothing puts a smile on a girl’s face like a brand new dress.  That’s why Macy’s at Eastwood Mall is stepping up to provide more than 200 children’s and Junior dresses and suits to local kids who might not be able to afford them.  The clothing was donated  to representatives of United Way of Trumbull County and the Community Volunteer Council .  The apparel, which has a retail value of over $10,000, was loaded into the CVC's van at the store entrance this morning .

Store Manager Denise Sertich said “We are so excited to be working with our local United Way Agency.  Giving Back is in our DNA, and during this unprecedented time, we have the ability to provide our communities in need with support.” 

CVC's Executive Director, Marlene Roberts says her volunteers will distribute the clothing to the more than 800 clients her organization serves. "We already have families in need who are contacting us to help find something nice for their children."
