Mall ready to welcome last-minute shoppers

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The clock is ticking for people still checking off their holiday lists.
Christmas is now just one week away.

The Eastwood Mall is offering extended shopping hours, allowing shoppers more time to purchase their gifts. It’s open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Monday.

If you’re planning on heading to the mall this weekend, the holiday spirit will be in full swing with musical performances both Saturday and Sunday. Nonprofit groups will also be offering gift-wrapping services in the Target concourse.

“The last weekend before Christmas is traditionally very, very busy, and it rivals Black Friday and sometimes exceeds the numbers,” said Joe Bell, Cafaro Company spokesperson.

For those shoppers who truly wait until the last minute, the mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

The mall is closed Christmas Day.
