NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A new eatery in the Eastwood Mall aims to honor the memory of a young girl who passed away before she turned 2.

Ny’Omi Eatery opened at the end of October. Owners Sharnette and John Randall said it’s their way of keeping their granddaughter’s memory alive.

“This is… an opportunity for me and my wife and the family to continue on her legacy,” John said.

Named after their granddaughter Ny’Omi Stores, the business shares Ny’Omi’s love of fair foods with customers. Some of the items sold include snow cones, cotton candy, lemon shakes, popcorn, nachos and candy apples.

“This is the way I’m honoring her memory and then also everybody else can enjoy what she enjoyed, the type of foods,” Sharnette said.

Stores passed away unexpectedly before her second birthday in 2020. Sharnette says she was a beautiful, smart, kind and happy child.
