Immortalized in miniature

New business coming to Eastwood Mall in Niles. OH

The competition was fierce but a winner has emerged in the Small Shop Showdown, Eastwood Mall’s competitive search for the freshest, most interesting ideas for new businesses.  A wide variety of budding entrepreneurs submitted their business plans, in the hope of winning six months of FREE RENT inside the mall.  After careful evaluation, a panel of retail real estate experts selected MīMē, owned by Renee Malutic of Youngstown, Ohio.  Malutic’s business creates exact, miniaturized versions of customers, utilizing proprietary 3D printing technology.  Customers will be able to see themselves “recreated” in several sizes, from three to eight inches in height.  These uncannily accurate figurines are the next generation of personal keepsakes.  They will make keepsakes for friends and relatives, “milestones” to chart a child’s growth, toppers for wedding cakes or gifts for business events.

MīMē will open its doors in a prime 1,674 square foot space, located on the mall’s Center Court, on July 22.  It will welcome customers during the busy Back-to-School and Holiday shopping seasons, rent free, through January 20, 2020.  Additionally, this business will receive a package of advertising and marketing support, as well as store furnishings to help it get off the ground.
